Snow

Just one word, I know. But that is about all you can say about Spokane lately. We have had several feet of snow now and it is apparently not through yet. It is supposed to snow next week. It is so crazy. We haven't ever had this much snow the 7 1/2 years I have lived here. BJ is sick of snow blowing, I think, but at least we have a snow blower and he doesn't have to shovel. BJ and Ella went out Christmas Eve and played in the snow. She had a blast. They tried out our new sled on some nearby "hills" at the park. She hated it. She didn't even want to be pulled back on it. Oh well, maybe next year. Daddy shoveled out a spot and they made a fort and some snow chairs to sit on. Then they made snow angels. It was so fun to see them having fun! Our Christmas was nice. We took a mini vaca to Seattle and Portland last weekend. We saw a friend BJ grew up with and some of our friends from Albuquerque and then saw BJ's brother and sister-in-law in Portland. We only had a couple of bumps in the road (so to speak) one was the weather and the other was a flat tire thanks to someone's tire chains. Seattle and Portland don't get much snow, so when they get more than a couple of inches, they shut down. Ikea was even closed!! I was so upset! We had fun anyway.

This was Turner(TJ)'s first Christmas. He of course had no idea what was going on. Ella was so excited to open presents and she even got to help brother open his. She had such a good day. Both kiddos were pretty tuckered out and went to bed early. Above are some pictures of our adventure (that's what we kept saying about our trip) and the snow.

First Post

Hello everyone! This is our first blog for the schelley family. Right now I am sitting typing as snow continues to fall. So far we have about 8 inches and they don't expect it to stop snowing until tomorrow afternoon. So we will see. I am going to try and upload some pictures tomorrow. Hopefully we can go and play in it. :) Hope everyone is doing well!
